SS16: Meeke fights for the podium
Kris Meeke (Toyota Yaris WRC) improved his performance from the first kilometer of SS16 Copina-El Cóndor (16,43km) onwards. The British won the special, got closer to Sébastien Ogier (Citroën C3 WRC) by 6s7/10 and is now just half a second of the French in the fight for the third place in the podium. In the overall, Hyundai i20 WRC’s drivers, Thierry Neuville and Andreas Mikkelsen rule with a good advantage.
The British of the Toyota Gazoo Racing team wants to get back the position lost at the end of the Saturday due to the penalty of 10 seconds. With 13m08s2/10, he almost fulfilled his goal at the beginning of the Xion Rally Argentina 2019, but he is just half a second behind of his goal.

At the leading position, Neuville is trying to manage the advantage he has over the other drivers, and he knows that that his team mate, Mikkelsen, is covering his back. The leader has an advantage of one minute with respect to the third place.
At WRC2 Pro, Gus Greensmith (Ford Fiesta R5) was the best competitor at the uphill El Cóndor, but Mads Ostberg (Citroën C3 R5) is still leading with a comfortable advantage. Pedro Heller (Ford Fiesta R5) in the first place in WRC2.
